At Klim, we work with farmers and food companies to make regenerative agriculture scalable and financially attractive for farmers. Through our platform, we help farmers restore soil health, promote biodiversity and sequester CO₂ - while creating new, reliable sources of income.

Responsibilities

Klim supports farmers and companies in converting to regenerative agriculture. Klim has developed a digital platform that offers companies an easy way to document their regenerative measures, receive financing for the measures they have implemented and benefit from the expertise of a committed community. Together with farms and participating companies, Klim is committed to this work to sustainably reduce CO2 emissions in agriculture, improve soil health and promote biodiversity. To ensure the quality and integrity of the work, Klim has developed its own monitoring, reporting and verification process (MRV).

As part of our MRV (Monitoring, Reporting and Verification) team, you will ensure the quality and transparency of our results in close cooperation with our agricultural partner companies.

• You work as a working student in our verification team. Your task is to examine operational data regarding the measures implemented by the companies.
• You carefully review operational documents such as agricultural applications, field records, fertilizer requirement determinations, seed receipts, service invoices and inventory lists and check that the data on our platform is consistent with the documentation.
• With your agricultural science expertise, you will check the plausibility of the regenerative measures used, such as crop rotation, fertilizer use and soil cultivation.
• You are in close contact with agricultural businesses to clarify questions.
• With your work, you ensure that the CO₂ storage and savings calculated by our model were actually achieved.

Requirements

• You are currently enrolled as a student at a German university, preferably in agricultural sciences, environmental sciences or a comparable field - or have practical experience in agriculture, e.g. through personal background
• You have a great interest in regenerative agriculture and sustainable solutions.
• You approach people openly and enjoy communicating directly with farms - by phone and email.
• Independent, structured and responsible work is a given for you.
• You are experienced in using digital tools.
• You speak German fluently, both spoken and written; Knowledge of English is an advantage.
