Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, development, optimization and implementation of ultrasonic welding and wire bonding technologies in an electronic manufacturing environment
  • Planning, development and continuous optimization of production technology processes in order to ensure stable, reproducible and cost-effective production
  • Determination, adjustment and optimization of technological parameters, as well as continuous development of process capability and stability
  • Professional support and development of wire bonding technology, with particular regard to bonding quality, reliability and process stability
  • Commissioning, validation, technical support and development of related production equipment and automated production cells
  • Production technology support for new products and prototypes (NPI), development of production processes, optimization and introduction into serial production
  • Supporting the selection, installation and validation of new production equipment and technologies
  • Analyzing production problems, uncovering their roots, and introducing permanent corrective and preventive measures
  • Monitoring the performance of production processes and initiating and implementing improvements aimed at reducing the scrap rate, rework, cycle time and production costs
  • Preparation and maintenance of technological documentation, work instructions, validation documents, process descriptions and parameter specifications
  • Close cooperation with production, quality, maintenance, development and automation areas
  • Contact with equipment and technology suppliers, support of technical consultations and development projects

Requirements

Expectations

  • Advanced engineering degree (mechanical engineer, mechatronic engineer, electrical engineer, materials engineer, welding engineer or related technical field)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, production technology, process development or related engineering
  • Practical experience in ultrasonic welding and/or wire bonding technology, as well as in the development of similar manufacturing processes
  • Experience in an automated, preferably electronic manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing technology and process development approach, structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
  • Knowledge of process validation, process capability analysis and SPC
  • At least intermediate English language skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills

It is an advantage

  • Direct experience in wire bonding technology, especially in an electronics or automotive manufacturing environment
  • Experience in setting, parameterizing and optimizing ultrasonic equipment
  • Knowledge of different wire bonding technologies and their quality characteristics
  • Experience in NPI / New Product Introduction projects
  • Experience in commissioning and development of automated production cells and equipment
  • Knowledge of automation and industrial robot programming
  • Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies
  • IWE/EWE or other relevant welding technology qualification

About the Company

How will you make an impact?

The Quality Supervisor for DHR and Inspection is under the direction of the QA Manager. They will continue maintaining high quality standards of the product inspection and final release process and compliance with regulatory requirements, administer Quality Assurance support to Quality Operations of a complex site and/or demanding compliance profile, and directly supervise Quality inspectors, and Final Release (DHR) employees. Works with Quality Technicians and Quality Engineers for day to day activities supporting all Production Cells and Supplier quality (Operating Companies) at the site has adequate quality support, documentation review, and support projects, process and new product introductions or upgrading of existing processes and products and subsequent qualifications.
