Warehouse Operations Specialist - Casual

Role Summary

As our Casual Warehouse Operations Specialist, you'll support the day-to-day running of the Foodcube warehouse, working alongside our Operations Lead and warehouse team. Depending on the workload, your day could involve preparing customer orders, assembling and packing products, receiving stock, completing inventory checks or preparing freight for dispatch. You'll need to be comfortable managing practical warehouse tasks efficiently and raising any stock, quality, freight or workload issues before they affect customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and preparing customer, stockist and online orders accurately and within expected dispatch timeframes.
• Preparing freight consignments, including labels, palletising, securing loads and dispatch readiness checks.
• Assisting with freight bookings through Machship or Foodcube's current freight platform.
• Photographing completed pallet loads before dispatch as part of our quality and freight processes.
• Loading outgoing freight safely using a forklift where authorised, or assisting with customer collections.
• Receiving and checking inward goods against purchase orders and supplier documentation.
• Supporting inventory management, cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Assembling and packaging components into finished Foodcube products.
• Printing labels, inserting marketing materials and preparing products for sale.
• Completing quality control checks and identifying non-conforming products.

About you

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, order fulfilment, dispatch, inventory, production support or a similar practical role.
• Someone reliable and available for approximately 1-2 days per week, with some flexibility to work additional shifts during busier periods.
• Strong attention to detail when picking, packing, checking and preparing orders.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently once trained.
• Good organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• A practical understanding of warehouse safety and manual handling.
• Confidence using basic warehouse, inventory or order management systems.
• Clear communication and a willingness to raise problems early.
• Physically capable of undertaking warehouse duties safely, including lifting, packing, pallet preparation and general warehouse tasks.
• Reliable, punctual and accountable.
