Job details

IT engineer in the Vehicle Motion Division (VM) manufacturing department.

In the manufacturing department of our Tochigi factory, the IT-related infrastructure (networks, servers, etc.) on the production line

You will be responsible for implementation, management, and key user duties for common applications related to manufacturing.

Depending on your experience and aptitude, there is a possibility that you will also be involved in some of the work to improve production equipment.

Business content

Management work for network equipment and servers used in production core systems and Industry 4.0.

IT infrastructure preparation and equipment environment construction work associated with the introduction of new IT solutions and new lines.

Promoting an IT project with the DX promotion department of the lead plant in Bosch, Germany.

Latest IT security implementation work.

Troubleshooting for general manufacturing-related IT systems.

In the future, DX and automation will advance in the manufacturing area, leading to data-based decision-making and streamlining and replacement of existing work. To this end, we are required to maintain, effectively utilize, and develop the current IT infrastructure, as well as contribute to the introduction of new IT solutions.

You can be involved in the latest production system (MES) and DX in Bosch Worldwide's manufacturing area.

You can gain project experience for infrastructure introduction.

Through work, you can build a network with members from overseas bases.

5 people. One of them is an IT engineer. The other four people are engaged in equipment maintenance-related work.

Promote operations in collaboration with other IT-related departments.

To promote digitalization of the manufacturing area, introduction and reinforcement of I4.0, and collaboration with overseas bases.

[Frequency of English usage]

On average, I have the opportunity to communicate with Bosch representatives in Germany and China about twice a week via telephone conferences and emails. Depending on the situation of the project, it may be used every day.

qualification

・Over 3 years of experience as an IT engineer. (Working experience in a factory or manufacturing area is a plus)

• Familiar with network infrastructure operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity.
• Knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining Windows servers.
• Must have basic knowledge of databases (MS SQL, Oracle). (Experience preferred)
• Must be able to speak and communicate in Japanese at a native level.

・Ability to communicate in English (chat, email, conference calls, etc.).

Intermediate Level (equivalent to TOEIC 600 points)

Recommended

• Knowledge of FA communications is a plus.

・Programming skills such as Python, C++, C#, MS VBA, etc. are a plus.

・Project management ability.

A hybrid working style is possible, with home office and factory office work.
