Responsibilities
TTOP is TikTok's open platform initiative for third-party developers, partners, and ecosystem businesses. We aim to open up TikTok's product capabilities, content scenarios, user connections, and platform infrastructure, enabling external developers to build richer product experiences and business opportunities within TikTok.
Our focus is on helping high-quality third-party content, services, and application formats integrate naturally into the TikTok user experience and achieve scalable growth through platform capabilities. This role spans user-facing product experience, developer ecosystem, platform capability building, business growth, and cross-functional collaboration, making it an important new business direction in TikTok's ecosystem expansion.
By joining TTOP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a platform business moving from early-stage exploration toward scaled growth, and work closely with product, engineering, operations, monetization, safety, and other teams to help define the future of TikTok's open ecosystem.
- Lead the user-facing product direction for Mini Apps within TikTok Open Platform, including foundational capabilities and key verticals such as mini games and mini drama.
- Design and optimize user discovery, consumption, and re-engagement experiences for Mini Apps across TikTok, including Search, video anchors, recommendations, sidebar entry points, Add to Home Screen, notifications, and other return-visit scenarios.
- Identify high-impact user scenarios and product opportunities in mini games, mini drama, and other Mini App verticals, and build scalable product capabilities that can be opened to developers.
- Improve product capabilities, traffic allocation, and growth mechanisms by balancing user experience, developer value, monetization, and platform efficiency.
- Own roadmap planning, prioritization, and cross-functional execution. Partner with algorithm, client engineering, monetization, operations, safety, and vertical teams to deliver complex initiatives.
- Track industry and ecosystem trends, identify new opportunities, and explore new user scenarios, business models, and platform capabilities.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification(s)
- Bachelor's degree or above, with 5+ years of product management experience in user-facing products, platform products, or growth products.
- Proven experience owning a complex product area end to end, from opportunity assessment and goal setting to solution design, launch, and iteration.
- Strong product leadership and team influence, with the ability to set direction, maintain execution rhythm, and uphold a high bar for product quality.
Preferred Qualification(s)
- Strong understanding of user experience, content distribution, growth mechanisms, and platform ecosystems, with sound judgment across user, developer, and platform value.
- Strong structured thinking, data analysis, and business judgment. Able to define problems clearly, set measurable goals, and drive product iteration through data and user feedback.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and execution skills, with the ability to build alignment and drive progress in ambiguous, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience with content platforms, gaming, mini drama, open platforms, or ecosystem businesses is preferred.
