To support our exceptional teams who develop great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking for a Trade Compliance/Freight Employee (m/f/d) for our location in Althofen, Carinthia.
As a Trade Compliance/Freight employee, you coordinate and monitor our worldwide transports. You will reliably handle our international customs transactions and take care of the entire logistics administration and shipping.
This is what awaits you in your new role: - Coordination and monitoring of worldwide transports
- Responsible for handling international shipments
- Ensuring compliance with transport regulations (e.g. IATA)
- Monitoring of logistical key figures (KPIs) as well as definition and implementation of optimization measures
- Execution and control of international customs transactions
- Independent monitoring, control and correction of customs clearances
- Management, optimization and introduction of special customs procedures
- Application and administration of customs and foreign trade permits
- Classification and maintenance of customs tariff numbers (HS/CN codes)
- Contact person for customs authorities as well as internal and external audits
- Carrying out export control checks including goods classification
- Ensuring compliance with national and international export control, customs and foreign trade regulations
- Training of employees in the areas of customs, export control and trade compliance
- Creation of reports and evaluations for the global organization, authorities and other stakeholders
- Creation and monitoring of Intrastat and Extrastat reports
These skills would be great: - Completed commercial or technical training (e.g. apprenticeship, HTL, HAK or HBLA)
- Structured, careful and reliable way of working as well as a high level of understanding for compliance with legal and internal requirements
- Strong communication skills when dealing with freight forwarders, suppliers, customers, authorities and internal contacts
- Professional experience in the area of customs and foreign trade, ideally supplemented by relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g. customs specialist P36)
- Experience in international transport and shipment processing, preferably in the areas of air and sea freight
- Knowledge of dangerous goods management as well as appropriate training or certification, especially for air freight shipments, is an advantage
- Analytical thinking skills as well as a solution-oriented and responsible way of working
- Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
- Openness to new topics and the willingness to continuously develop professionally and personally
