Have you been estimating lighting projects for several years, working on photometry on a daily basis in AGi32, and are you looking for a role where your technical rigor really weighs in? This position was designed for this type of profile.

We are recruiting for a growing Quebec company specializing in technical projects related to building. The company wants to seek out new markets and, to get there, needs an intermediate estimator who has already proven himself, who knows where he is going and who can take the submissions department to a higher level. For privacy reasons, the company name will be shared later in the process.

What we can already tell you: a human and ambitious team, a central role in operations, and real room to structure, improve ways of doing things and contribute directly to the next stage of growth.

This position is for you if…

You have 5 to 8 years of real experience in estimating and submitting lighting projects.

You master AGi32 and carry out your own photometric analyzes (DIALux experience is a complementary asset, not a substitute).

You read and interpret plans, quotes and technical documents with ease.

You are autonomous, rigorous, comfortable with Excel, and capable of popularizing the techniques simply.

If you check these four boxes, the rest will speak to you.

The role in brief

Under the responsibility of the operations management, you are at the heart of lighting project submissions, photometric analyzes and technical coordination of files. You understand projects in depth, collaborate with internal teams and with clients, then propose clear, realistic and well-adapted technical solutions.

Do you recognize yourself?

Send us your application. The process is confidential: we will take the time to introduce you to the company, the position and the team during an initial discussion.

Responsibilities

Quotes and estimates

  • Analyze requests, plans, quotes and technical documents to clearly identify the needs of the project.
  • Prepare submissions that are clear, complete and adapted to the requirements of clients and professionals.
  • Propose solutions taking into account technical constraints, available products and profitability.

Photometry and technical analysis

  • Carry out photometric analyzes in AGi32 (DIALux on occasion).
  • Interpret the results, validate the consistency of the solutions and guarantee deliverables that meet the requirements.
  • Popularize technical information with clients, engineers, architects and designers, as needed.

Collaboration and coordination

  • Collaborate with customers, representatives and other departments to move files forward.
  • Work with engineers, architects and designers by understanding their expectations and requirements.
  • Act as a resource person on more complex or large-scale projects.

Financial analysis and improvement of ways of doing things

  • Prepare certain project calculations: potential savings, costs, returns on investment.
  • Gather the information necessary for technical, administrative or grant-related files.
  • Improve templates, Excel files and internal methods, and structure departmental practices.

Requirements

The profile sought

  • Estimated –5 to 8 years of experience in lighting project submissions.
