Role Summary

By supplying high quality recycled raw materials, our ambition is to become the essential partner of the recycling industry, placing people and safety at the heart of our priorities.

Veolia Recycling and Valorization, Grand-Est Territory, is looking for a F/M Team Leader, attached to the Business Services Department.

MANAGE OPERATION

• Ensure the conduct of the sorting process
• Propose areas for improvement in order to optimize/improve the quality of sorting and production
• Achieve the daily and monthly objectives set (production rate, daily tonnage, etc.)
• Identify malfunctions and anomalies, and propose or initiate corrective or preventive actions
• Check the nature, quality and conformity of waste inputs, if necessary, carry out simple analyzes
• Use machines and equipment to ensure loading/unloading operations of products entering or leaving the site
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of machines or equipment and its work area

Check the equipment before use, check the levels, carry out periodic maintenance (non-regulatory), ensure the good condition of the equipment entrusted, ensure its routine maintenance

Apply procedures and work method sheets

Participate in operational meetings with the operations manager

SAFETY & OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Ensure safety dialogues with all staff under their responsibility

Apply the objectives of our policy in terms of quality, safety, environment, energy and biodiversity

Responsibilities

TEAM MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

• Ensure team management (scheduling, absences, etc.)
• Ensure the proper transmission of information to all staff
• Ensure the security reception, integration and training of new arrivals

Requirements

Key skills

• Communicate orally and in writing in a professional situation,
• Use digital tools,
• Master the safe operation of the entrusted vehicle,
• Master the flow management process and waste traceability,
• Know the waste cycle, identify the different types and flows of recoverable and non-recoverable waste,
• Work collaboratively, as a team,
• Alert in the event of a deviation in quality, hygiene, safety or environment,
• Know how to detect a dangerous situation and act accordingly.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Possession of CACES R482 and R489 is necessary.
