You will strengthen our highly motivated team of experts in the fight against cybersecurity threats. Together with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and Network Engineers, you plan and operate our most modern defense platforms. These are the backbone of protecting our hosting products and infrastructures - from classic DDoS mitigation to modern web application firewalls (WAF) and zero trust strategies to our content delivery network (CDN). Area of responsibility

Infrastructure administration: Administration and troubleshooting of highly available, complex infrastructures - including participation in shared on-call rotation.

Platform optimization: Further development and optimization of distributed DDoS defense platforms as well as associated analysis and visualization mechanisms.

Threat & Trend Analysis: Monitoring of systems, analysis of security attacks and active tracking of current industry and security trends.

Tech Evaluation & Innovation: Evaluating new technologies and products as well as developing and implementing new features for international setups.

DevOps & Lifecycle: Supporting our corporate goals through an efficient operational architecture, active lifecycle management and lean processes in an agile DevOps environment.

CI/CD Automation: Conception, development and further development of CI/CD pipelines and supporting technical processes

Requirements

• Foundation: Completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification or professional training.
• Linux & Security Passion: Several years of experience in the administration of complex, distributed Linux systems as well as a strong interest in cybersecurity and in-depth network knowledge.
• Reverse Proxy & WAF: Proven experience configuring and operating Nginx as a reverse proxy or web application firewall.
• Routing Expertise: Hands-on experience implementing BGP, Flowspec and Anycast routing on Linux systems and network routers.
• Automation Mindset: Passionate about automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet and Python to consistently eliminate manual, repetitive tasks.
• Analytical acuity: Strong analytical skills to assess DDoS attacks, implement effective countermeasures and continuously develop our defense platforms.
• Tech stack (bonus): Initial experience with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ClickHouse or the ELK stack is a plus.
• Open Source Spirit: You share our enthusiasm for open source technologies, especially Linux.
• Languages: Fluent written and spoken English skills (knowledge of German is a plus).
