Role Summary

We help and inspire our clients with issues surrounding sustainable housing. From a single building to programs with multiple buildings in the portfolio. We help our clients determine, monitor and increase ambition on themes such as energy transition, circular economy and climate adaptation. Which choices are relevant to make the real estate future-proof and sustainable? What measures can best be taken, how do we organize this and what decision-making is required for this? You translate Paris Proof goals into concrete new and ongoing projects and also manage them.

As a sustainable housing advisor, you help and motivate clients to realize their sustainable ambitions in the field of housing and real estate. You can simultaneously fulfill different roles, such as:
As a strategic discussion partner for our clients, identify new trends and developments in sustainability.
Together with your colleagues, determine how a university can best translate its sustainability efforts into concrete measures in projects and programs.
As a project manager, you play a role in making new construction or existing real estate more sustainable.
Manage a sustainability program for a large semi-public organization with projects such as electrification, sustainable energy generation, and reducing waste flows.
Advise on feasibility studies, projects, portfolio plans, contracting external parties, design, management or maintenance.
'Everyone thinks that sustainability is happening too slowly', but through your efforts you know how to tackle bottlenecks, seize new opportunities, break resistance and bring about successful change. You translate ambitions into results.
Requirements
We are looking for an advisor with (technical) substantive knowledge who wants to take the next step in his career. You know what is really important and you are the link between the client and technical advisors or implementing parties. You are a strong presence at the table and have sufficient persuasive power towards both the client and the contractor.
In addition to carrying out projects, you monitor the latest developments in sustainability and thus contribute to knowledge sharing and development among your clients and colleagues. In projects it is natural for you to coach younger colleagues. You are able to act commercially and acquiring and develop a distinctive approach that offers added value to our customers.
What we ask of you
- University degree in construction or real estate related education.
- You have 3 to 5 years of relevant (consultancy) experience in the field of sustainability in the built environment, for example at an engineering or architectural firm or contractor.
- You have managed various sustainable projects or programs.
- You are aware of developments in sustainability and current legislation and regulations in the built environment.
- Competencies: environmentally aware, analytical, collaborative, results-oriented, collaborative, ambitious.
