Role Summary

As a Support Process & Maintenance Engineer Wafer Test (f/m/div), you will actively support the team in ensuring smooth production availability and system stability in the wafer testing area.

You will assist experienced colleagues in carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance tasks and simple, clearly defined repairs on wafer test systems and associated components. This is done under guidance and compliance with the applicable work and safety regulations as well as work instructions in order to ensure high machine availability (uptime) and system stability.

They support the identification and elimination of basic and clearly defined system malfunctions in wafer testing systems (e.g. simple electrical, electronic or mechanical defects). You will also help carry out simple system qualifications (using checklists) and monitor basic process parameters in order to report abnormalities at an early stage.

You will provide support for the manual inspection of the wafers and the corresponding batch processing. This also includes assessing the manufacturing condition of wafers in the event of simple system errors and assistance with their recovery and simple post-processing according to standard procedures.

In this role, you will work closely with shift colleagues and experienced engineers to jointly solve daily system and process problems. Furthermore, you contribute to the order and cleanliness of the work area.

In this position you will work in our fully continuous 6:4 shift model. This means that every 6 working days (2 early, 2 late, 2 night shifts) are followed by 4 days off. Further information about the activity can be found here.

Requirements

Training: successfully completed craft or technical vocational training (e.g. as an electrician, mechanic, mechatronics engineer, industrial electronics engineer or comparable). Motivated career changers with basic technical understanding are also welcome.

Experience and know-how: initial professional experience in a technical environment is desirable. Career starters with a strong desire to learn and technical interest are also welcome. Enthusiasm for technology and working on complex machines in the clean room and experienced use of common IT applications for documentation and communication.

  • Personality and way of working: team player, willing to learn, reliable, motivated and resilient as well as high willingness to familiarize yourself with new processes and technologies
  • Languages: very good knowledge of German, basic knowledge of English is an advantage.
