Role Summary

The position of Safety Supervisor is required to supervise maintenance activities in the mining area, guaranteeing compliance with safety standards, current legislation and the prevention of incidents in high-risk work.

Supervise and control compliance with the rules, procedures and safety standards applied in maintenance activities in mining operations, promoting a culture of prevention and zero incidents.

Supervise mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks in the field, verifying the correct execution of safety procedures.

Carry out daily safety inspections, verifying working conditions, tools, use of PPE and critical controls.

Validate the correct preparation of IPERC, ATS and permits to work at height, confined or energized spaces.

Investigate incidents, accidents and substandard conditions, proposing corrective and preventive actions.

Train and instruct staff on safety issues and respond to emergency situations.

Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations in Mining (D.S. 024-2016-EM).

Coordinate with the maintenance area the safe planning of critical activities.

Requirements

• Training: Technician or graduate in Safety, Mining, Industrial, Maintenance or related Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Safety Supervisor in maintenance activities in mining units.

Certifications

• Course in IPERC, ATS, work at height, confined spaces.
• License or accreditation as a Security Supervisor (Desirable).
• Knowledge: Peruvian mining legislation on safety (D.S. 024-2016-EM), safe procedures, risk management.
• Competencies: Leadership, effective communication, decision making, proactivity, results orientation.
