Role Summary
Objective: Supervise all functions and shift personnel to ensure that all plant safety, quality/GMP, productivity and waste management objectives, policies and procedures are met.
Main activities, roles, scope of responsibility and authority
Follow the internal work regulations and safety requirements established by the company.
Comply with and share the Avery Dennison ethics and values policy,
Apply and promote the 5's in your work area.
If you are part of any brigade and/or commission of the company, you must comply with the corresponding activities.
Manage equipment performance, conduct technician and operator evaluations, and develop training plans for individuals.
Drive the Quality culture by ensuring that work processes and procedures are met, through the review and approval of the production package, as well as continuous evaluation and maintenance through the document control system, as appropriate.
Ensure necessary training and upskilling activities are carried out, evaluated and documented to optimize production operator versatility.
Ensure that efficiency and production objectives are met and continually reviewed with the support of the Process Engineering and Maintenance teams. Ensure that continuous improvements are implemented and that lean manufacturing activities are coordinated, implemented and evaluated.
Support new product introductions and change controls are managed and introduced effectively. Maintain liaison with engineering and management for programming and supervision of product testing, validation runs.
Ensure initial production executes review, engagement, feedback and approval to NPI department.
Optimize/create resource planning according to order requirements.
Maintain recruitment of production employees in conjunction with HR.
Maintain liaison with Warehouse Supervisor regarding maintenance and stock control.
Include the time and attendance system, vacation planning, etc. in administrative tasks.
Have routine participation in quality initiatives, problem resolution, internal audit program/CAPA program.
Ensure the CER area complies with the production program, with safety, quality and minimizing scrap.
Requirements
- Studies: Industrial engineering or Bachelor's degree or similar.
- English: Conversational.
- Knowledge of Productive / Manufacturing Processes, Continuous Improvement, Core Tools, Problem Solving and ISO 9001, ISO 14001
