As a Student Assistant you ensure operations can perform their security-related tasks based on guidelines you help define.

Tasks and Technologies

As a Student Assistant you will be a part of Netcompany Operations and our dedicated security team consisting of skilled and committed colleagues. You will take part in defining how Denmark’s most ambitious IT company host solutions for critical Danish infrastructure and large international customers. You will encounter everything from identifying improvements to monitoring of servers and applications, optimising detection mechanisms and response thereof, advising colleagues about alerts as well as adjusting security tools.

You will be a trusted advisor for Netcompany’s delivery and project teams regarding how to solve security-related tasks.

Requirements

Your responsibilities will typically include

  • Investigating patterns and implementing alerts and visualisations in our SIEM to ensure detection of suspicious events.
  • Responding to and follow up on alerts generated by our SIEM and EDR solutions, including adjusting these to ensure precision.
  • Configuring integrations between our SIEM and other systems and environments, including Cloud and containers.
  • Configuring and monitoring our IDS/IPS solutions.

About you

We are looking for a student who can work approximately 16 hours per week. We are flexible during exam periods, but availability is expected in the lead-up to project deadlines and other key milestones. To succeed in this role, you:

  • Are in the final year of your bachelor’s degree or have started a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, software, IT, or a similar field.
  • Have experience with both Windows and Linux and have knowledge with SIEM or EDR solutions.

Are highly motivated and eager to develop your skills

  • Have full professional proficiency in Danish or English (written and spoken) is a must.
  • It is a requirement for the position that you can be approved for PET security clearance.

Continue developing with us

  • At Netcompany, we focus on your personal and professional development.
  • We support you in your development and in reaching your goals. You will be included in projects equally with your colleagues and have the chance to take on responsibility from day one.

We offer a strong collegial community where you will work closely with your team who supports you both in task completion and in your development in the role. The close relationship with your colleagues and leader in everyday work helps to ensure the well-being of each employee and gives you concrete insights into the many different career opportunities as you build your experience.
