Role Summary

• Smithton IGA is looking for a reliable and motivated
• Storeperson
• to join the Smithton IGA team on a
• part-time basis

. As a Storeman, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products are received, and organised correctly, contributing directly to the smooth running of our retail operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, unloading and inspecting incoming stock and goods for quality and accuracy
• Organising and storing products in designated areas using appropriate storage systems and methods
• Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently
• Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, tidy and organised in accordance with health and safety standards
• Conducting regular stock counts and identifying discrepancies
• Loading vehicles and ensuring goods are secured properly for transport
• Following all health, safety and security procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment
• Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently, with strong attention to detail
• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual handling tasks regularly
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as or pallet jacks
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or stock control procedures
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to consistent attendance
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations
• A current, valid driving licence
