Responsibilities
STORE MANAGER TRAINEE JOB AT JYSK
- During the first year, you will learn how to work in different JYSK stores, and based on your skills and evidence, you will be responsible for various projects related to the role of store manager and growing into it.
- Goals guide your work: each of us has a clear direction and a desire to exceed expectations.
- Your varied and busy working days consist of e.g. sales, team management, warehouse work, customer service and cashier work.
- In addition, as your responsible competence accumulates, you will receive various responsible tasks related to front-line work as well as the sales management of the store. You work closely with the store manager, and you also have your own mentor.
- Your weekly tasks also include actively giving feedback to the team, helping them succeed in their work.
- In addition, in your first year, you will participate in JYSK's own store manager trainee training program, which lasts about a year. The training takes place at the head office in Vantaa in one-week sessions (5 sessions in total).
- The work requires good basic fitness, but you get the best work tools and the support of the team.
- Versatility - store, warehouse, campaigns...boredom is not part of our vocabulary.
- You are motivated to work as a leader and lead the team to results by your own example.
- You feel that training others, introducing them and giving active feedback are part of your strengths.
- Willingness and desire to travel and work in different JYSK stores during the first year. During this time, you will be trained and introduced to work in stores of different sizes, you will increase your skills and vision to take over the job of store manager in 1-2 years.
- Ambition to become a store manager. When the opportunity to become a store manager opens up, it may not be from your hometown, so we ask for your flexibility. We support the possible change and related costs.
- You are at your best in a busy and fast-paced environment. You like fast-paced work and surprising tasks in the middle of the shift.
- You are sales-minded, and productivity and exceeding goals are important things to you in your work. You also want to sell and succeed every shift.
- You tolerate incompleteness because there is a lot to do and you can't always finish everything at once.
- You know how to recover from failures quickly, and even after that you see new things as interesting challenges that you can tackle with positive energy.
- You are flexible both in terms of tasks and working hours and working hours. Work is done variedly in different shifts in the morning, evening and weekends.
- You are a colleague who respects others, a trader who produces results and is committed to working towards the agreed matters with a prompt attitude.
