Role Summary

In this role you will support the ASPP of our Aprilia plant in activities and projects related to Environment, Health and Safety. You will be part of the larger O-I Italy EHS community, which includes 10 plants in Italy and 1 in Hungary, each with at least one EHS specialist.

In this role you will report directly to the Senior EHS of the Aprilia plant and functionally to the EHS Manager Italy-Hungary.

WORKING METHODS

This position requires constant presence on the plant from Monday to Friday – remote working is not foreseen for EHS roles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the EHS Senior in developing and updating EHS policies, procedures and training materials.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Support the investigation of accidents and near misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Participate in safety training sessions for employees, promoting awareness and a culture of safety.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, contributing to the preparation of reports for management review.
  • Help maintain safety records, documentation and databases to ensure regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will collaborate with various company functions to promote safety, well-being and environmental protection in the Aprilia plant. You will work in direct contact with the production activities, side by side with the master glassmakers of the Aprilia plant, in the heat and noise of the shop floor: the EHS specialists in O-I don't just work in the office.

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Environmental Engineering).
  • English level B2 or higher.
