Role Summary
Conduct satellite operations during all mission phases, including commissioning, routine operations, special operations and end of mission.
Development, validation, maintenance and optimization of flight procedures and operational documentation.
Assist in the development, implementation, validation and advancement of mission control systems, including automation, mission planning, flight dynamics and satellite control applications.
Perform system verification and validation activities for spacecraft and ground segment systems.
Support in the configuration, commissioning and operation of mission control systems and satellite simulators.
Monitor satellite health by analyzing telemetry data, trending and detecting anomalies.
Assist in the investigation, troubleshooting and resolution of satellite anomalies and participate in on-call duties as part of anomaly management.
Assist with mission planning activities and continuous improvement and automation of operations.
Produce technical reports, mission status updates, KPIs and operational documentation for internal stakeholders and customers.
Develop and conduct training for satellite operations and ground systems.
Requirements
- Completed studies in the field of aerospace engineering, space systems, communications engineering, computer science, physics or a comparable technical field.
- Experience in satellite operations, mission operations, or ground segment engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of mission control systems and spacecraft operations concepts.
- Experience in developing and validating flight procedures as well as creating operational documentation.
- Knowledge of satellite telemetry and telecommand systems.
- Experience with mission planning, flight dynamics or satellite simulators an advantage.
- Knowledge of system verification, validation and testing methods.
- Experience with automation of operational processes and scripting is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills as well as experience in error analysis and problem solving in an operational environment.
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English.
