Solution Architect IT Operations

Role Summary

Working at Kyndryl means working on progress. We design, build, manage and modernize information systems that the world depends on every day. What will you do as a Solution Architect IT Operations at Defense?

You help our client, the Ministry of Defense, in delivering large-scale IT projects and introducing innovations. As an IT Architect you are the link between the functional needs of the end user and the technical solution of the IT department.

You support the Domain Architect IT Operations in the integral design of the IT Services and are responsible for parts of the solution. Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing complex IT solutions
• Documenting the solution
• Supervising project & support teams during realization
• Monitoring the integral architecture
• Communicating technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders

We expect you to be innovative and to be able to create the right designs at a strategic and conceptual level. You also add enough detail to turn these designs into reality.

Where will you work?

Your new home base will probably be one of the Defense locations around Utrecht, but this could also be another Defense location within the Netherlands. Partly working from home is possible. You will also occasionally work at the office at Kyndryl Nederland in Hoofddorp, where our Kyndryl Social Club regularly organizes informal and inspiring activities.

Important to know: to be allowed to work for Defense you must be in possession of a Dutch passport and have completed a VGB-B security screening.

Requirements

• What knowledge and experience do you bring?
• Your focus is on the framework of processes and platform that are required to enable stable, secure, controlled and efficient management of IT services.
• At least 5 years of experience as an IT Architect in large IT projects;
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English;
• Experience with architectural models and methods;
• Technical leader and team player, but also self-sufficient;
• Eager to learn and adaptive.
• Knowledge of IT4IT from Opengroup
• Knowledge of AIOps, Monitoring (including APM), Event Management and Observability
• Knowledge and experience with ITIL v3 2011 and ITIL v4
• Experience and knowledge of ServiceNow implementations is an advantage
• Experience and knowledge of Stackstate implementations is an advantage
• Experience and knowledge of Elastic implementations is an advantage
• Experience and knowledge of Dynatrace implementations is an advantage
• Experience and knowledge of Tanium implementations is an advantage
• High level knowledge of Kubernetes deployments (Openshift, Nutanix NKE etc) is a plus
