Role Summary

Your goal

As a Linux OS software engineer, you are responsible for the operating system of our gateway. You will create the foundation for a secure, stable and scalable ecosystem that enables the operation, monitoring and updating of our fleet of devices. In doing so, you will lay the foundation for our applications and actively contribute to the digitalization of energy networks!

Responsibilities

  • You develop and maintain a secure and modular Linux operating system for our gateways.
  • You design and implement frameworks and interfaces to monitor and update the device fleet.
  • You integrate device identification, authentication and authorization solutions to ensure the highest level of security.
  • You actively promote the topic of Linux OS and independently bring technical developments from the idea to successful implementation.

Requirements

  • You have in-depth knowledge of modern software development workflows, e.g. B. Version control with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and code reviews.
  • You have in-depth experience in the development of Linux operating systems and software architectures.
  • You are familiar with using tools such as Yocto to create and customize Linux distributions.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of current programming languages such as C++ and Python
  • You have very good knowledge of Docker and containerization.
  • With the conception of secure systems, e.g. B. through threat modeling, you know your stuff very well.
  • You enjoy taking responsibility and are a team player with strong communication skills.
  • Even with complex systems, you maintain an overview and actively shape them.
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written German rounds off your profile.
