Role Summary

The Sludge Line Manager supervises and coordinates the activity of his team of sludge line operating technicians. It guarantees the proper functioning of the treatment plant's sludge treatment installations (thickening, dehydration, drying, etc.) in strict compliance with performance, safety and environmental standards. He supports the skills development of his team while participating in the most complex technical operations. To do this, your main missions will be:

Team management

  • Supervise and lead the team of sludge line technicians (planning, organization, methods, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance of interventions carried out and compliance with site instructions
  • Organize the skills development of your team members
  • Carry out annual interviews

Responsibilities

Operation and monitoring of installations

  • Ensure compliance with the structure emptying schedule issued to the MEL
  • Carry out operating tours and monitor chemical stocks linked to the mud line
  • Check evacuations and report any detected anomalies
  • Participate in the operation of the plant and in particular the sludge sector (thickening, dehydration, drying, etc.) in compliance with operating instructions (sludge dryness, sludge conditioning rate, etc.)
  • Report your activity to your manager and provide information on the various reporting tools
  • Contribute to quality, safety and environmental initiatives for the site and facilities

Analysis and quality control

  • Ensure the collection of sludge samples according to defined protocols
  • Carry out traditional laboratory analyzes and interpret the results
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the sludge line and the compliance of discharges with the odor referent
  • Coordination and monitoring of external stakeholders
  • Ensure the monitoring of subcontractors working on the installations
  • Manage and verify work permits and logging procedures

Requirements

  • Bac+2 level Electrotechnics or water treatment or equivalent professional experience
  • Good command of technical tools (telephone, office automation, IT)
  • Electrical clearances, confined atmosphere, unloading or chemicals would be a plus
  • Rigor, autonomy, spirit of initiative, motivation
  • Sense of relationships, service and security
  • B license essential
