Role Summary

Working on large port equipment in the heart of world ports.

At Konecranes Port Services you ensure that port equipment such as mobile port cranes, Straddle Carriers, Automated Guided Vehicles and Automated Stacking Cranes continue to run reliably. You work on mechanical, electrical and mechatronic parts. No day is the same: from maintenance and breakdowns to inspections and improvements on location.

This feature is specific to DP World Antwerp.

As a Service Engineer, you work structurally at this permanent terminal, where Konecranes is responsible for the maintenance and service of the port equipment.

• As a Service Technician at Port Services, you mainly work on location at the customer's location. Your tasks are varied and practical:
• Preventive and corrective maintenance of port equipment
• Detecting and solving malfunctions (mechanical, electrical or mechatronic)
• Participate in conversion, modernization and improvement projects
• Carrying out inspections, testing and reporting of activities
• Work according to applicable safety rules and procedures

What are you taking with you?

• A completed MBO or HBO education in one of the following disciplines:
• mechanical engineering, mechanics, mechatronics or electrical engineering
• Experience with service or maintenance in an industrial environment is a plus, but starters are also welcome
• You have technical insight and interest in large, technical equipment
• You are not afraid of heights and have no problem working in different locations
• You are willing to participate in shifts and/or breakdown services
• You communicate well in Dutch and can get by in basic English
• You have a driving license B
