Role Summary
We are looking for a Port Technician to join our electrical team in Valencia. As a Service Technician, you will be tasked with maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing various port equipment and systems. Your role will be fundamental to guarantee the safety, efficiency and reliability of our operations.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include
Carry out preventive maintenance, upgrades and repairs on the entire range of our port cranes and other lifting machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns accurately and effectively
- Manage field assemblies, which includes directing and coordinating the activities of the various project participants
- Serve as a direct liaison with customers, our engineering department and our parent company teams to ensure smooth operations
- Organize and direct team efforts to maximize productivity and safety
- Identify and report potential sales opportunities during service calls
- Meticulously complete all required documentation
- Carry out repairs and updates to drive systems, commissioning.
- This role requires a high level of technical competence, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic port environment. Your role is crucial to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the maintenance and repair of port equipment.
Requirements
- Specialized training or equivalent in electromechanical disciplines
- Extensive experience in resolving electrical faults, wiring and commissioning
- Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting ability
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Physical ability to climb stairs and work at height
- Strong interpersonal skills for extensive customer interaction
- Valid driving license
- Unwavering commitment to safety protocols
- Ability to understand and communicate in English; other languages will be valued
- Availability to travel as required by position
Desirable Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in port crane assembly
- Experience in unloading ships with crane
Please note
- This role requires a high level of technical competence and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic port environment.
- Overtime will be compensated accordingly.
- Candidates must be prepared for the physical demands of the position, including working at heights and in various weather conditions.
