Work arrangement:
On-site

Senior Software Engineer, Autopilot at uipath in Bucharest, Romania.

Responsibilities

You will use your AI engineering skills to develop new user-facing features for enabling our platform to be used by coding agents and our own Autopilot. Autopilot is an AI assistant that helps UiPath users by bringing their ideas to life faster by empowering them to create, edit and publish automations through natural language, as well as predicting what their next action will be and recommending it to them. Users can also chat with Autopilot to understand best practices, iterate on Autopilot suggestions and work together with it to ensure the quality of their automations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AT UIPATH

  • Full-stack development for Autopilot in TypeScript, Python or C#
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of your code
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
  • Plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications
  • Help maintain code quality, organization and automation
  • Work closely with small, nimble, cross-functional product and marketing teams to launch the platform
  • Architect a codebase that is reusable and can evolve with our product

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM

  • 6+ years of experience coding, with strong, production-level experience in TypeScript (or JavaScript), Python and/or C#
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and architectural design patterns
  • The ability to promptly transform a set of functional/UX requirements into a working product
  • Knowledge of multithreading, synchronization, asynchronous programming and test frameworks
  • Knowledge of basic data structures (list, vector, stack, heap), basic algorithms (sort, search, etc.) and associated time/memory complexity.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience working as a software engineer on an AI product and some experience with Python
  • Prompt engineering knowledge

Maybe you don’t tick all the boxes above—but still think you’d be great for the job? Go ahead, apply anyway. Please. Because we know that experience comes in all shapes and sizes—and passion can’t be learned.

Many of our roles allow for flexibility in when and where work gets done. Depending on the needs of the business and the role, the number of hybrid, office-based, and remote workers will vary from team to team. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis and there is no fixed deadline for this requisition. The application window may change depending on the volume of applications received or may close immediately if a qualified candidate is selected.

We value a range of diverse backgrounds, experiences and ideas. We pride ourselves on our diversity and inclusive workplace that provides equal opportunities to all persons regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, national origin, disability, neurodiversity, military and/or veteran status, or any other protected classes. Additionally, UiPath provides reasonable accommodations for candidates on request and respects applicants' privacy rights.
