About the Client

A leading North American financial services provider operating across personal, commercial, wealth management, and capital markets sectors. Following recent strategic acquisitions, the top-tier bank has significantly expanded its international footprint. Now executing an "AI-first" strategy, the organization has launched a dedicated institute for applied AI and quantum computing to drive productivity and deliver hyper-personalized digital experiences for millions of global customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications supporting Capital Markets platforms and business functions
• Customize and configure Murex components, including workflows, datamarts, interfaces, reporting solutions, and integrations
• Develop and support real-time and batch integrations between Murex and upstream/downstream systems
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, architects, and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Optimize application and database performance through effective design and tuning strategies
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD processes
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation
• Identify opportunities to automate development and operational processes through AI-enabled solutions
• Contribute to technical discussions and best practices related to architecture, integration, and system scalability

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Java development, including object-oriented design, multithreading, collections, performance optimization, and enterprise application development
• Extensive experience working with Murex across one or more functional areas, including Front Office, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Back Office, Collateral Management, Regulatory Reporting, or Integration
• Experience with Murex customization and configuration, including workflows, datamarts, interfaces, reporting, and integration development
• Strong understanding of Capital Markets products including FX, Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Derivatives, and structured products
• Experience designing and developing real-time and batch integrations between Murex and external systems
• Proficiency with SQL and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
• Experience tuning and optimizing complex database queries
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and Agile delivery methodologies
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, or similar platforms
• Ability to identify and implement opportunities for AI-driven automation across software development, testing, code quality, and operational processes
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-native application development
• Familiarity with APIs and microservices architectures
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to large-scale financial systems and enterprise integration environments
• English level
• Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate
