Senior Software Developer (f/m/div.) C++ distributed systems

Role Summary

DMS Digitale Mess- und Steuersysteme GmbH, part of Bosch Energy and Building Solutions since July 2024, is developing the OpenLS6000, a powerful control system for sophisticated building automation - used worldwide in various industries.

Responsibilities

• Further development and maintenance of our OpenLS6000 control system for reliable use in factories and buildings worldwide
• Co-design of software architectures and technical concepts to keep our solution future-proof and efficient
• Analysis and optimization of the existing code base (in the future also with the help of AI) in order to continuously improve performance, stability and maintainability
• Integration and further development of communication protocols, network interfaces and database systems
• Close collaboration with colleagues from development, product management and support to develop practical solutions and share knowledge

Requirements

Education: completed studies in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, engineering or a comparable qualification

Experience and know-how: several years of experience in C++ programming (5+ years), ideally including MFC, ideally knowledge of C#/.NET, understanding of multi-threading and distributed systems, experience with databases and SQL, communication protocols and network programming (e.g. OPC-UA, Modbus, BACnet)

• Personality and way of working: analytical thinking skills and joy in understanding complex systems, calmness and solution orientation when dealing with grown code bases, independent, structured way of working combined with team spirit, very good communication and documentation skills
• Languages: good knowledge of German and English
