Making big things happen together – as a Senior Payroll Expert (all genders)
For our diverse team of over 10 colleagues, we are looking for an experienced payroll expert with excellent knowledge of operational tasks and the ability to think outside the box. As a senior payroll expert, you take on project responsibility for the implementation and introduction of new processes and are responsible for the operational coordination of tasks within the payroll team in Ludwigshafen, including the classification of daily and ad hoc tasks. Since you will be taking on operational management responsibility in this role, initial professional experience in team leadership is an advantage.
Last but not least, the role requires excellent Excel skills and strong organizational skills in order to be able to effectively support colleagues in day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
Your tasks and responsibilities
- Operational coordination and a sensible division of daily payroll tasks
- Contact person for any operational questions within the team
- Support in process optimization and the implementation of best practices
- Management and proactive participation in project-relevant payroll topics
- Management of social security and tax registrations, including coordination with external service providers
- Collaboration with stakeholders from HR as well as other relevant areas in the business such as the finance department
- Prepare reports and participate in audits as required
- Support with monthly and year-end closing work
Requirements
What you bring with you
- Business studies or business training with relevant professional experience and relevance to administrative human resources work and payroll accounting
- Several years of professional experience in the area of payroll accounting and project management
- Initial management experience (without disciplinary management responsibility) would be an advantage
- Very good knowledge of Excel and experience with ticket systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills as well as a dynamic and autonomous way of working
- Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
