Senior Mendix Developer

Role Summary

As a Senior Mendix Developer you are responsible for designing and realizing complex, business-critical applications. You oversee the entire landscape and know how to translate business issues into robust and future-proof solutions.

You play a central role in projects and are involved from the initial analysis to implementation and further development. You interact with stakeholders at different levels and know how to translate their needs into clear technical choices and architecture.

You also take a leading role within the team. You monitor the quality of the work, focus on best practices and help colleagues to develop further. You actively think about the further development of the Mendix proposition and the way of working within the practice.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building complex Mendix applications
• Translating business issues into architecture and solutions
• Determining technical direction and making design choices
• Realizing and overseeing integrations within enterprise environments
• Coaching and guiding (junior/medior) developers
• Monitoring quality, performance and scalability
• Sparring with stakeholders about solutions, impact and strategy

You have a direct influence on the success of projects and contribute to innovation and growth within the team and the organization.

Requirements

• You have a completed HBO or WO education in an IT field and several years of experience with software development in professional environments
• You have at least 5 years of experience with Mendix and are able to design and realize complex applications and projects independently
• You have extensive experience with architectural issues and integrations (such as REST APIs, microservices and databases) within enterprise environments
• You have experience with Agile/Scrum and know how to involve teams in technical choices, quality and best practices
• You master the Dutch language at a minimum B2 level and can communicate convincingly with stakeholders at different levels
