Role Summary
About Endpoints News Media Company, LLC
Endpoints News, founded in 2016, is a leading B2B media company with a clear mission: to deliver the best news product in biopharma and become an essential read for industry leaders globally. Now a part of the Financial Times family, Endpoints News continues to grow its reach, delivering breaking news, in-depth analysis, and live journalism.
Endpoints News fosters a culture of benevolent collaboration, pragmatic results-oriented approaches, and direct communication. These values shape how we work across teams, solve problems, and execute with impact, ensuring alignment with our mission and goals.
We're looking for a hands-on senior marketing manager who can move between our three revenue areas: events, subscriptions and advertising/sponsorship. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Working closely with the Marketing Director, you'll market our events and subscriptions across channels and build the media kits and decks our Sales team uses with sponsors and advertisers. You'll work directly in our ESP, CRM, analytics and project management platforms every day and partner closely with Editorial, Design, Sales, Events and Client Success.
The ideal candidate communicates proactively and brings marketing knowledge and instinct to whatever's in front of them, whether that's a campaign send, a sales deck or a social post. You've marketed paid events or subscriptions at a media publisher, association or conference business, and you're comfortable doing the work yourself, from writing the copy to hitting send.
Responsibilities
Event Marketing
This is not an event planning or programming role. Our Events team runs logistics while our Editorial team sets the programming. You fill the room.
- Own end-to-end marketing campaigns that drive paid ticket sales and registrations across Endpoints' in-person, virtual and hybrid event portfolio, from planning through post-event reporting.
- Manage all campaign operations: list pulls, copywriting and assembly, scheduling, QA, deployment and performance reporting.
- Coordinate with the Editorial, Design, and Events team on asset needs, deadlines and ticket and registration goals; flag risks early and adjust campaigns when sales are behind pace.
- Track ticket and registration performance across events and compile data into clear, actionable reports.
- Run promotion for flagship events including E11 and our annual Top 100 recognition program.
Subscription Marketing
- Build and deploy segmented email campaigns that win and keep free readers, paid subscribers and enterprise accounts.
- Maintain audience lists and segmentation infrastructure to ensure campaigns reach the right readers.
- Run A/B tests, managing setup, tracking and data capture, and compile results into clear summaries.
- Drive multi-channel audience growth through daily social media management, paid promotions and other emerging tactics as the program and market evolves.
Advertising/Sponsorship
- Produce and maintain sales collateral, media kits, sponsorship one-pagers and event sales kits; keep assets current, accurate and easy for Sales to deploy.
- Build new materials from scratch when needed, not just maintain existing templates.
- Partner with Design on larger projects to deliver effective and high-impact materials.
Writing and Messaging
- Write the copy across emails, landing pages, social and sales materials.
- Translate Endpoints' coverage into messages that give readers a reason to buy a ticket, subscribe or sponsor.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of marketing experience, including hands-on campaign work at a media publisher, association or paid conference/events business.
- A track record of campaigns that sold paid event tickets or paid subscriptions. You can tell us the goal, the result and what you changed along the way.
- Experience building and deploying email campaigns yourself: list pulls, segmentation, QA and send. We use Campaign Monitor; any major ESP transfers.
- You're a strong writer. You can write a marketing email that sells and a clear Slack message with equal ease.
- Comfort interpreting and analyzing campaign data with working knowledge of GA4.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; experience with tools like Notion, Asana or similar.
- Strong eye for visual appeal, especially in client and sales materials, with experience building them from scratch.
- Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Highly responsive communicator, comfortable managing a high volume of projects.
- High proficiency with Google Slides.
Preferred
- Experience marketing paid subscriptions at a media or publishing company.
- Familiarity with biotech or life sciences is highly desired. You don't need a science background, but you can read our coverage, from drug development to deals, and understand what's at stake and why it matters to our readers. Then you turn that into messages that land with our audience.
- Experience creating media kits, pitch decks or sponsorship materials for an advertising or sponsorship sales team.
- Experience and enthusiasm for using AI tools to accelerate campaign analysis, copy development or list management. We're actively building AI into how this team works and want someone excited to grow with it.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 90 days, you'll have a solid command of our campaign workflows, platform stack and audience segments, and you'll be independently managing execution across all three focus areas. Within six months, you'll be running a high volume of campaigns without things falling through the cracks, hitting ticket and subscription goals, producing clean performance reports and operating as a dependable partner that internal teams count on.
The person who thrives in this role communicates clearly, sweats the details and takes ownership of their work from start to finish.
