Senior Laboratory Analyst

Role Summary

Organize and schedule the attention of service requests, analysis priorities and distribution of work.

Carry out the tests on the samples, in accordance with the defined procedures and protocols.

Review, validate and report the partial and final results of chemical tests to the direct manager.

Prepare productivity reports and reports on services provided to internal clients as applicable.

Coordinate the request and replacement of orders, according to the needs of the area with the direct manager.

Propose and/or implement new methodologies in the laboratory based on the review of standards or technical information, in coordination with the direct manager and/or area.

Guide or tutor staff on the tests that are applied.

Participation in Quality and safety as required.

Other similar functions indicated by the Employer or hierarchical superior based on their needs and requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or similar.
• Management of Analysis Techniques: Inorganic, Metallurgical, Environmental.
• Management of AAS, Leco and/or other similar equipment.
• Knowledge of volumetric and instrumental techniques in mineral samples.
• Desirable good laboratory practices
• Basic guideline of ISO 9001 or ISO 17025
• Intermediate or advanced office automation.
