Role Summary

About Recare

As one of the leading German HealthTech companies, we are redesigning discharge management - technology-driven, patient-centered and free of bureaucracy. In addition to our market-leading SaaS platform, we develop AI solutions that radically simplify processes in clinics and follow-up providers, relieve the burden on specialists and put the focus back on the patients. We already connect two-thirds of all German hospitals with over 650 rehabilitation clinics and 25,000 nursing and homecare providers. With currently around 100 employees, we continue to grow - and are looking for people with attitude who want to improve the healthcare system with us.

This is what awaits you as our Senior Healthcare Consultant (m/f/d):

Work with purpose – your work has a positive impact on patients, their relatives and healthcare professionals.

Corporate culture – we rely on flat hierarchies that promote high performance and strong team dynamics. We maintain a relationship characterized by mutual respect, loyalty and recognition and strive together towards our goals and expect the same from you.

Flexibility – would you like to pick up your child from daycare? Do you like to do sports during your lunch break? We support you in this. We are a remote-friendly company where you have flexible working hours. You can also do workations upon request.

Edenred card – which you can use according to your needs.

Additional vacation day – so you can celebrate your birthday with your loved ones, you have it off.

What you also convince us

Experience in supporting KHZG projects or comparable clinical digitalization initiatives.

Clinical-medical background (e.g. medical studies, nursing training, public health, health economics).

Experience with AI governance, clinical validation or MDR/AI regulation topics.

Existing networks in German hospital associations, university hospitals or relevant specialist societies.

Experience with forward deployed models (Palantir FDE, OpenAI FDE, comparable consulting-led delivery models).

Experience scaling professional services or customer success functions in a fast-growing SaaS/AI company.

Responsibilities

What you do with us

  • You carry out cross-hospital and cross-departmental process and use case audits and, on this basis, develop a prioritized expansion backlog for each customer - assessed according to value, risk, feasibility, scalability and governance maturity.
  • You scope and deliver new use cases of the AI Suite (e.g. additional document types, new departments, deeper integrations) together with implementation, interop and AI solution architecture.
  • You moderate workshops at C-level (management, CMIO, IT management, medical controlling) and translate clinical pain points into concrete AI solutions - including business case, ROI modeling and governance framework.
  • You are responsible for expansion ARR in your customer portfolio: from use case hypothesis testing to pilot, clinical acceptance, commercial conclusion (together with sales) and scaled rollout.
  • You carry out quarterly account steering for each strategic customer together with the CSM and the clinic management, in which you report the realized value against the value equation defined in the discovery.
  • You work closely with our implementation team in parallel to project onboarding: While the implementation team delivers the standard package, you build the expansion roadmap at the same time - so that a validated next growth window is ready for the Hypercare exit.
  • You feed your findings back into product & engineering, (AI) solution architecture and playbooks and thus actively shape the further development of the Recare AI Suite.

This is how we introduce ourselves as our Senior Healthcare Consultant (m/f/d):

  • You have 5+ years of professional experience - ideally in a combination of consulting (healthcare practice or comparable), hospital operations (e.g. medical controlling, clinical process development, hospital IT, digitalization programs) and/or healthtech product or delivery roles.
  • You have a deep understanding of German hospital processes: HIS landscape, clinical documentation, DRG-relevant workflows, social services, discharge management, medical controlling. You know how a clinic really works - not just how it should work.
  • You have a structured consulting toolkit: use case discovery, prioritization, business case modeling, stakeholder mapping, workshop moderation at C-level - clean, structured, results-oriented.
  • You are AI-fluent: You understand where LLM-based products work and where they don't, know concepts such as human-in-the-loop, prompt design limits and document type feasibility, and can confidently translate between clinical requirements and technical feasibility.
  • You have internalized commercial instinct and responsibility for results: You think in terms of outcomes, in value for the clinic, in measurable ROI - and you are not afraid to take responsibility for expansion ARR.
  • You communicate excellently in German (fluent spoken and written) and confidently in English - with clinic management as well as with nurses, doctors and our product team.
  • You work hands-on, structured and with a willingness to travel within Germany, potentially within the DACH region (typically 2-3 days per week on site at the customer's site, depending on the project phase).
  • You share our attitude: You really want to make the German healthcare system better - and are willing to ask uncomfortable questions and tackle tough topics.

Requirements

Your role as a Senior Healthcare Consultant (m/f/d)

As a Senior Healthcare Consultant, you are the strategic sparring partner for our hospital customers directly on site - conceptually strong, clinically fluent and commercially responsible. You will take over after our AI Suite goes live and guide our customers in depth: new use cases, additional document types, additional departments and deeper integrations. You work in the model of leading forward deployed teams (Palantir FDEs, OpenAI Forward Deployed Engineers) - close to advice, hands-on, with clear responsibility for results.

You are part of our Customer Success area, but consciously work independently of the classic CSM role: While Customer Success secures the relationship, adoption and retention, you are responsible for expansion - i.e. for the sustainable growth of our customers with the Recare AI Suite.
