Role Summary

We are currently looking for a Senior CoSS for the following mandate:

Position: CoSS Senior

Project: Knowledge of civil works, excavation lifting operations, work at height and must have knowledge of the risk of electrification and post works code.

  • Location: Lévis, QC
  • Desired start date: August 31, 2026
  • Expected end date: October 2, 2026
  • Schedule: 4 days a week/10 hrs per day

Responsibilities

General responsibilities of the CoSS

  • The CoSS is responsible for the application of laws, rules and frameworks relating to occupational health and safety.
  • He plays an advisory role by assisting and participating in the prevention activities of the site management team and acting as an expert in health and safety. It also plays a role in increasing the skills of the various project stakeholders, including external suppliers.
  • He is responsible for the various activities that will be entrusted to him in connection with the daily life of the safety teams on site.
  • The resources will be called upon to carry out mandates on power plant, substation and line sites.

Requirements

  • Must hold a health and safety coordinator card issued by the CNESST.
  • Experience working with Hydro-Québec is considered an asset.
  • Significant knowledge of critical hazards is expected (e.g. working at height, energy source, moving vehicle, lifting operations, etc.). Training related to Hydro Electric specificities is also an asset.
  • Possess technological skills and abilities to enter daily information and master the tools of the Office 365 suite (Teams, Outlook).
  • Asset: Have CDST 7th central training
