Purpose of the position
Work autonomously at an advanced level in drawing and modeling tasks, completing a wide variety of tasks through the application of drawing and modeling techniques and practices. Must have substantial knowledge of industry standard good practices relevant to the development and control of drawing and modeling deliverables. May provide supervision in connection with drawing and modeling activities for a large project, or one or more smaller projects.
Responsibilities
- ·Perform conceptual, basic and detailed engineering of projects in the Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure industry, among others.
- ·Typically have relevant experience in the discipline and competent knowledge and understanding of regulations, codes, design and manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices. Additionally, you must have solid knowledge in estimating the costs of a project and writing proposal content.
- ·Make responsible decisions for the course definition of engineering, drawing and modeling deliverables.
- ·Perform their duties based on self-initiated interaction and technical guidance with the supervisor (discipline manager), to subsequently influence the objectives and duties of their team.
- ·Develop, assign and coordinate technical offers, documents, planimetry and field surveys.
- ·Prepare calculation reports and support documents for designs.
- ·Initiate, manage and, if necessary, supervise the requirements of the electrical engineering project.
- ·Lead teams and provide mentoring to junior engineers and draftsmen (provide technical guidance, reference information, assign tasks, review and approve deliverables, among others).
- ·Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required verification procedures.
- ·Ensure that the scope of the project is clear and that changes comply with the project change management processes.
- ·Conduct field visits according to project requirements.
- ·Participate in the development, review and bidding of technical contracts.
Requirements
- What will you bring?
- Between 5 and 20 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in the Oil & Gas and/or Refinery sectors.
- Have experience in reviewing and designing one-line diagrams, control diagrams, design bases, lists of loads and electrical equipment, equipment sizing, specifications, data sheets and requisitions.
- Have knowledge in the design of high, medium and low voltage electrical systems.
- Ability to develop electrical studies using programs such as NEPLAN and ETAP.
- Support in purchasing equipment and technical evaluation of offers.
- Have knowledge of technical standards such as IEC, IEEE/ANSI.
- Management of SPEL and review of models in Smart Plan 3D.
- Have knowledge of programs such as Dialux, AutoCAD, Navis Works
