Role Summary

As a senior drainage engineer in Road & Sewage, you will be an important part of a team where you work with planning and practical implementation of small and medium-sized road and drainage tasks.

You will have a central role and professional responsibility for drainage solutions on civil projects, where you will assist project managers and project teams. The tasks will, among other things, include:

Project planning and dimensioning of rainwater systems, road drainage, ditches, basins, seepage solutions, etc.

Preparation of drainage plans, wiring plan and the like.

Coordination with relevant professional disciplines

Authority dialogue and coordination with municipalities, utility companies and other stakeholders.

Professional supervision and technical sparring in the implementation phase - as needed.

Contribute to tender materials, project proposals, etc. in both the offer and design phases.

Requirements

We are looking for an independent senior profile with good judgment and the courage to take responsibility. You have a background as a civil engineer, diploma engineer, constructor or other relevant technical education within construction, water, environment, supply or infrastructure and between 5-10 years' experience or more. You thus have:

  • Experience with planning within drainage and rainwater management - from early phases to tender and execution.
  • Technical knowledge of road drainage, conduit systems, basins, seepage, LAR etc.
  • Knowledge of relevant road rules, standards, municipal requirements, supply requirements, etc.
  • Experience with descriptions, quantities, tender material and technical notes.
  • Preferably experience in relevant tools such as e.g. Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, Novapoint, AutoCAD, SCALGO, MIKE, Wastewater Committee's spreadsheet.
  • As part of a consulting company, we expect you to be approachable in your work and to be good at communicating your knowledge and collaborating with stakeholders. You handle public and private developers as well as dialogue with municipalities and utility companies with credibility.
  • If you have experience with project management or subject management, it is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Security approval is not a general requirement, but may become relevant for individual projects. Driving license B is an advantage.
