Senior DevSecOps Engineer (all genders)

Role Summary

Take responsibility for and evolve our AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), ensuring scalability, reliability and security from the start

• Design, automate and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and integrate security mechanisms (e.g. SAST/DAST) directly into the development processes
• Lead monitoring and observability initiatives (e.g. Datadog), proactively identify system risks and drive incident response and problem resolution
• Define and implement cloud security best practices including IAM, RBAC, vulnerability management, and infrastructure hardening across all environments
• Drive security initiatives such as patch management, threat detection (e.g. GuardDuty, Falco), and credential leak prevention across systems and repositories
• Work closely with engineering teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and lead security audits and compliance initiatives

Requirements

• You have 5+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE and 3+ years in security-focused roles and have a proven track record of securing cloud-native systems at scale
• You have in-depth, hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments, including in-depth knowledge of IAM and RBAC models
• You are very experienced in using Terraform and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI) and can confidently develop in at least one programming language (Go, Python or JavaScript)
• You have solid experience with data storage systems (e.g. PostgreSQL) as well as a good understanding of data pipelines/ETL processes (e.g. AWS Glue)
• You have extensive expertise in cloud security, monitoring and observability, including tools such as Datadog, GuardDuty, Falco or comparable solutions
• You are a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills, enjoy working in agile environments and speak English fluently
