Senior Data Ops – Data Platform

Role Summary

Your objective will be to participate in the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of the data pipelines of the Data Platform, in a “Data Centric” architecture, in order to guarantee the reliability, scalability, performance and security of the data platforms, while contributing to automation, monitoring and incident management.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Cloud Storage
• CloudSQL
• Cloud Monitoring

Apache Kafka (advanced expertise)

• Partitioning, replication, compaction
• Performance tuning
• Management of topics and offsets
• Security: TLS, SASL, ACL
• Monitoring via Prometheus and Grafana

Kubernetes

• Creation and management of clusters
• Application deployment
• Performance monitoring and optimization
• DevOps: CI/CD, deployment automation
• Scripting: Bash, Python
• Relational databases (fundamental concepts)
• Security: best practices and access policies

Responsibilities

You will be required to

• Contribution to the implementation and continuous improvement of data pipelines
• Automation of deployments and operating processes
• Monitoring the performance of Data platforms
• Management and resolution of production incidents
• Active participation in DevOps activities around Kafka, Kubernetes and GCP
• Close collaboration with development and infrastructure teams
• Guarantee of reliability, availability and scalability of Data platforms
• Contribution to continuous improvement and optimization processes for existing solutions

Requirements

• Graduate of a Bac+5 from an engineering school or university equivalent with a specialization in computer science, or with significant equivalent experience
• Experience: Confirmed expertise (>7 years) in Apache Kafka.
• Operational mastery of Kubernetes and GCP
• Experience in large retail is a plus.
