We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer with a deep understanding of AWS , Kubernetes , and modern DevOps practices to join our client based in Spain . Our client operates in sectors such as drug design and discovery, genomics, bioinformatics, aerospace, aeronautics, astrophysics, quantum chemistry, energy, and automotive. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining state-of-the-art DevOps infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security for our products and services.

Estamos buscando un Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer entusiasmado y dedicado con un profundo conocimiento de AWS , Kubernetes y prácticas modernas de DevOps para unirse a nuestro cliente en España . Nuestro cliente trabaja en sectores como diseño y descubrimiento de medicamentos, genómica, bioinformática, aeroespacial, aeronáutica, astrofísica, química cuántica, energía y automoción. En este puesto, serás responsable de diseñar, implementar y mantener una infraestructura de DevOps de vanguardia, garantizando los más altos niveles de disponibilidad, rendimiento y seguridad para nuestros productos y servicios.

Responsabilidades y Habilidades del Candidato Ideal

Poseer un mínimo de 5 años de experiencia en DevOps , con una sólida base en Servicios de AWS y Kubernetes .

Demostrar una experiencia sustancial en programación en Python o Java .

Diseñar e implementar una infraestructura escalable, confiable y segura utilizando Kubernetes en el Servicio de Kubernetes Elástico de AWS ( EKS ) para facilitar la implementación, escalado y gestión de aplicaciones en contenedores .

Utilizar metodologías de GitOps para gestionar la infraestructura y la configuración de aplicaciones como código, garantizando uniformidad, trazabilidad y auditabilidad en los entornos de desarrollo, pruebas y producción.

Implementar y gestionar ArgoCD y GitLab para la entrega continua, automatizando los procesos de implementación y garantizando implementaciones de aplicaciones rápidas, seguras y consistentes.

Brindar soporte para aplicaciones basadas en microservicios ( Python o Java ) en un entorno de Kubernetes .

Mostrar familiaridad con herramientas de Infraestructura como Código (IaC)

Desarrollar e implementar estrategias integrales de seguridad en la nube para proteger datos sensibles, infraestructura y aplicaciones contra posibles amenazas , incorporando las mejores prácticas en gestión de identidad y acceso, cifrado de datos y monitoreo de seguridad.

Supervisar el rendimiento de aplicaciones e infraestructura utilizando DataDog y ELK Stack , identificando y resolviendo proactivamente problemas para mantener un rendimiento y disponibilidad óptimos .

Responsibilities

The Responsibilities and Skills of the Ideal Candidate

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of DevOps experience , with a solid foundation in AWS Services and Kubernetes .
• Demonstrate substantial expertise in Python or Java programming .
• Design and implement a scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using Kubernetes on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service ( EKS ) to facilitate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerised applications.
• Utilise GitOps methodologies to manage infrastructure and application configuration as code, ensuring uniformity, traceability, and auditability across development, staging, and production environments.
• Implement and manage ArgoCD and GitLab for continuous delivery, automating deployment processes and ensuring swift, secure, and consistent application deployments.
• Provide support for MicroService-based applications ( Python or Java ) in a Kubernetes environment .
• Exhibit familiarity with Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) tools
• Develop and execute comprehensive cloud security strategies to safeguard sensitive data, infrastructure, and applications from potential threats , incorporating best practices in identity and access management, data encryption, and security monitoring.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using DataDog and ELK Stack , proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain peak performance and availability.
