About the Company

Mayflower GmbH builds individual software with a focus on generative AI - owner-managed since 1998.

We bring complete AI infrastructures into production: model serving, agent gateways, chat and voice – directly in the customer’s environment. We are looking for you – someone who not only designs AI systems, but also actively takes responsibility for their path into production. From architectural consulting at C-level to productive operation: you design the solution and put it into real use with the team.

What awaits you

Challenging projects with LLMs, Agentic RAG and AI agent frameworks (e.g. LangGraph, PydanticAI, Mastra or OpenAI Agents SDK) - including deep agent architectures. You build evaluation pipelines and observability (logging/tracing with LangSmith, Langfuse or similar) and work with modern MLOps stack and vector databases.

You design solution architectures for complex customer projects - with security, compliance, scalability and data protection in mind - from the first sketch in conversation to the concrete roadmap.

Together as a team, you will conduct deep dive calls and workshops with customers and bring them into the next project phase.

You will accompany the initiation of new projects and support our team in pre-sales with technical credibility.

You communicate confidently at C-level - you understand economic goals, speak the language of decision-makers and combine technical excellence with business impact.

The focus of your role is around 50% on customer projects, and even more in intensive phases. You invest the remaining part of your time in pre-sales discussions and workshops, which you prepare and conduct, as well as in strategic support for management and sales.

Conferences, community events, specialist articles: presence is a plus, not a requirement. The only thing that matters to us is that you are prepared to demonstrate your professional skills.

You travel 4-8 days a month to visit customers and colleagues - willingness to travel within Germany, including Austria and Switzerland if necessary, is part of the role.

You should bring this with you

Many years of experience as an architect or senior engineer, ideally with a service provider or in IT consulting.

Project experience with Agentic AI implementations that goes beyond prototypes: LangChain, LangGraph and Deep Agents in real use - or comparable depth in the TypeScript environment (Mastra) or in the Microsoft ecosystem (Semantic Kernel / Microsoft Agent Framework, Azure AI Foundry). Vector Databases and MLOps are a plus.

The ability to convey AI concepts and architectures to customers in a clear and practical way.

You can outline solutions in customer discussions and present them convincingly - storytelling and presence are your strengths.

You meet C-level people on the same level - you understand which aspects move decision-makers and how you translate technical concepts into economic relevance.

Business fluent German (C1+) and conversational English.
