Responsibilities

• Establishment of an internal accounting function and replacement of the previous external service providers
• Independent financial accounting for several German companies
• Responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank accounting as well as payment transactions
• Carrying out intercompany reconciliations and standardizing accounting structures
• Further development and automation of recurring finance and accounting processes
• Integration of various systems into the existing finance system landscape
• Participation in further finance topics such as FP&A, M&A or capital market-related projects
• Use of modern technologies and data-based solutions, such as AI, SQL or Python
• Ensuring transparent and timely financial reporting
• Close cooperation with management, tax advisors and auditors

Requirements

• Completed commercial training or a degree in economics, business administration or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting/finance
• Several years of professional experience in accounting and/or controlling
• Solid user knowledge of common MS Office programs, especially Excel, as well as a general IT affinity and willingness for digital development
• Analytical and structured way of working with a high affinity for numbers and problem-solving skills
• Initiative, sense of responsibility and a reliable, careful way of working
• Fluent knowledge of English, knowledge of German is an advantage
