(Senior) Accountant (w/m/d)

Responsibilities

• You take responsibility for central general accounting issues, in particular provisions, accruals, fixed assets, personnel-related bookings and account reconciliations.
• You are actively involved in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB for the group companies assigned to you and work closely with controlling, group reporting as well as other finance teams (e.g. sub-ledger, tax and group accounting) and other stakeholders.
• You drive the continuous improvement and automation of processes and ensure compliance with accounting guidelines and internal control systems (ICS).
• You maintain and optimize relevant process documentation.
• You actively support cross-departmental projects, especially around our online platform and the introduction of new products or features.
• You will contribute significantly to the quality of our financial reporting through precise and timely accounting and will take responsibility for accounting issues within the General Ledger team.

Requirements

• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in financial accounting or general accounting.
• You have very good knowledge of Excel and MS Dynamics Business Central.
• You work independently, structured and reliably and are characterized by proactive communication.
• Ideally, you have experience with banking software (e-banking).
• Further training as an accountant or a comparable qualification is an advantage.
• Experience with FloQast or comparable reporting or financial statement management tools is a plus.
• You have very good written and spoken German and English skills.
