SAP ABAP Lead Developer – Product Development (m/w/d)

Role Summary

As a Senior SAP ABAP Lead Developer - Product Development, you will be responsible for the technical conception and further development of our ABAP-based product components within the Data Conversion Suite, our central platform for data migration, transformation and system modernization, and will be responsible for architecture and design in close collaboration with product owners and development teams.

Responsibilities

• You lead the ABAP development team technically and take care of appropriate guidelines, design patterns, reviews and general architecture topics
• You work closely with the product owner and the development team and translate product visions into technical implementations
• You design and develop complex ABAP applications in the product environment and ensure their sustainable further development
• You are responsible for the technical architecture within the product and make decisions on clean core, expansion and integration approaches
• You actively work on the further development of the product architecture in the SAP environment (e.g. S/4HANA, BTP, APIs, events)
• You ensure high code quality through code reviews, standards and best practices
• You support the technical conception of new features and evaluate their feasibility in the SAP standard environment

Requirements

• You have a degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification
• You have very good experience and knowledge of SAP ABAP development, ideally in a product or platform environment, and have in-depth knowledge of ABAP OO
• You have in-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA development and are familiar with modern development approaches such as CDS Views, OData or the clean core principle
• You work in a structured, analytical manner and have a strong understanding of complex system landscapes
• You communicate confidently with technical and business stakeholders and can translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• You have experience in the technical, ideally also in the disciplinary management of ABAP developers and professional product development
