Role Summary
Water and air matrix sampling supervisor, responsible for supervising all field monitoring activities and ensuring compliance with established sampling protocols and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate field monitoring activities for water and air sampling projects
- Prioritize safety by conducting pre-sampling risk assessments, safety briefings, and implementing safety protocols in all field operations
- Train, guide and evaluate field sampling personnel to ensure consistent quality and compliance with standard operating procedures
- Maintain and calibrate sampling equipment, ensuring all instruments meet regulatory requirements and quality standards
- Conduct quality assurance and control procedures to verify data integrity and sampling accuracy
Monitor chain of custody documentation and records for presentation to laboratories and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with laboratory staff and project management teams to ensure timely delivery and analysis of samples
- Manage sampling schedules, resource allocation, and budget oversight of field operations
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards and company policies
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of direct experience supervising environmental sampling or field monitoring operations
- Minimum of 2 years of valid driving experience with a clean driving record
- Demonstrated experience in air and water matrix sampling protocols and regulatory compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage field operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain rigorous quality control standards
- Strong leadership skills with experience in training and evaluating technical staff
- Mastery of chain of custody documentation and laboratory coordination procedures
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control procedures
