Safety, hygiene and environmental engineer

Role Summary

Monitors the operational implementation and monitoring of the safety, health and environmental requirements and/or processes of the areas under its responsibility in accordance with the external and internal legal requirements applicable to HSE.

It has the authority to stop any unsafe act or condition that may cause harm to people, facilities or the environment, as well as manage the correction of these risk situations.

Management of the waste collection, segregation and disposal process based on the applicable internal and legal regulations.

Execute tasks to fulfill the programs defined for the strategy, objectives, indicators and projects.

Perform tasks to comply with legal and internal requirements.

Prepare documented information such as procedures, formats and operating instructions for the definition of internal requirements.

Collect the information necessary to register information in the database.

Participate in the execution of tasks for the development of the defined campaigns.

Train staff according to legal and internal requirements.

Participate in risk analysis, environmental impact assessments and in the preparation of incident reports.

Support in the attention of audits, inspections and visits of different interested parties.

Run programs for contractor compliance within facilities

Coordination for emergency response

Requirements

• English desirable B1
• Collaboration and communication
• Customer focus
• Leadership
• Minimum professional experience of 4 years in a similar position
• Mastery of the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management System
• Knowledge in waste management
