Railway Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Summary

• Carry out the 3D and 2D design of Car Body structure parts and sub-assemblies
• Read, understand and produce definition plans
• Design sheet metal parts while respecting manufacturing and assembly constraints
• Carry out packaging and size studies (volume and surface area)
• Define and apply manufacturing tolerances
• Update and manage data in PLM / 3D BDD tools
• Ensure design consistency with industrial processes (welding, bolting, etc.)

Knowledge of manufacturing processes

Requirements

• Technical training in mechanics / industrial design
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in mechanical design and sheet metal
• Basic technical English

Technical skills

• General knowledge of mechanics
• Reading and understanding technical plans (Drawing)
• 3D design using CATIA V5
• Autonomy in the CAD design process
• Knowledge of tolerance
