Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the responsibility of the project engineer, you will have to participate in carrying out the various engineering mandates. More specifically, you will need to:

  • Carry out the design and structural verification of communication pylons: steel structure, reinforced concrete foundations, stay cable assemblies, stay anchors, equipment supports, etc.
  • Participate in the production of expert reports as well as plans and quotes
  • Ensure coordination with internal stakeholders (engineers, technicians and designers)
  • Ensure coordination with external stakeholders (clients, contractors, surveyors, etc.) at all stages of the project: planning, design, construction and maintenance
  • Ensure monitoring of projects under construction
  • Master the different standards and customer specifications
  • Calculate and estimate the cost of work as part of tender projects
  • Carry out all other tasks related to the civil engineering of projects.
  • Any other related task.

Requirements

PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS

The candidate should ideally have general knowledge of the civil and construction fields as well as construction industry standards. He must also be/have:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural specialization;
  • Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec or in the process of becoming one;
  • Good written and oral communication;
  • Knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Sense of responsibility, rigor, attention to detail and quality;
  • Ability to manage priorities and manage several files at once;
  • Leadership and teamwork skills.
