Role Summary

We have an interesting offer for an experienced SPP design engineer in a leading Ukrainian company in the field of renewable energy, who is interested in joining cooperation on a project basis.

Our Partner has a large portfolio of implemented projects of various capacities and a highly qualified team of experts that specializes in providing comprehensive services in calculation, design, construction and further maintenance of solar power plants for businesses, households and communities. The company has its own engineering, technical, service and installation department, which makes it possible to control the quality of the project implementation process at all stages of implementation.

In order to ensure the implementation of the dynamically growing project portfolio of our Partner, we are looking for a Design Engineer who will be able to participate in the entire B2B SES design cycle of the company's projects.

• Availability of a CC1-CC3 designer's certificate
• Availability of certificates from equipment manufacturers on familiarity with the characteristics of their equipment
• Knowledge of the English language (for familiarization with technical documentation)

Responsibilities

Preparation of technical specifications for design

• Preparation of sketch project solutions (equipment placement, diagrams, specifications)
• Development of project documentation for the construction of SES: software, placement of photo modules, plans for laying DC and AC lines, inverter and battery connection diagrams, automation and synchronization schemes with SES, cable journals, specifications of equipment and materials
• Generation calculation
• Approval of projects with representatives of the customer's technical service and/or with expertise (by agreement)
• Author supervision of project implementation (by agreement)

Requirements

• Qualifications and professional experience
• Higher technical education (preferably electrical engineering)
• Work experience as a design engineer

Ownership of software

• AutoCAD for creating 2D drawings (required)
• PVSyst for generating reports, in particular from hourly generation (is an advantage)
• SketchUp for geolocation binding, shadowing, animation creation (is an advantage)
• Skelion plugin for decomposition of photomodules, calculation of generation, creation of models of own FEM (is an advantage)
• Knowledge of the requirements of the Rules for the arrangement of electrical installations (PUE)
• Knowledge of the requirements for design documentation according to DBN
• Calculation of voltage losses and selection of cable cross-section

Knowledge of FEM roof attachment types (understanding of nodes)

• Knowledge of relay control schemes (AVR, generator start relay, line switching both automatically and using switches)
• Knowledge of the organization of communication lines between inverters, smart loggers, meters, current transformers
• Experience with various types of solar equipment: knowledge of SES components, requirements and standards for their installation, connection and operation
