Role Summary
As a project manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the successful execution of our aerospace projects. Your responsibilities include:
Project Coordination: Effectively coordinate the multidisciplinary teams involved in our complex projects, ensuring smooth collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Customer Relationship Management: Develop strong relationships with customers by providing exemplary service and acting as a link between customers and our organization, fostering trust and satisfaction.
Workload Definition: Clearly define project workloads, milestones and deliverables, ensuring a structured approach to project management.
Financial Oversight: Take charge of financial aspects by managing project P&L and cash flow, while ensuring compliance with budget guidelines.
Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Identify potential project risks and proactively develop strategies to mitigate them, to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of quality in project deliverables, continually seeking to exceed client expectations.
Reporting: Provide regular comprehensive project status updates and workload assessments to the leadership team, to ensure transparency and support informed decision-making.
Procurement management: Oversee procurement activities and necessary relationships with suppliers within the defined budgetary framework, optimizing the allocation of resources.
Team Performance and Development: Collaborate with the HR team to improve team performance through coaching, mentoring and training initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience within a structured PMO organization
- Experience in the aeronautics, defense and/or embedded software industries
- Knowledge of the V-shaped software development cycle and Agile methodologies
- Exposure to DO-254 standards (DO-178B/C is an asset)
- Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team and suppliers
- Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Good organization and effective time management
- Ability to positively influence colleagues and clients to achieve desired results
- Good interpersonal skills and comfort in interacting with customers
