Role Summary

Tasks and responsibilities of the position

Responsibilities

As Project Manager, your main functions/tasks will be

  • Early interaction with the sales and engineering team during the tender/sales phase.
  • Execution of new sales projects, from contract signing to delivery to the customer, as well as modernization projects of the installed base led by the BEUMER Customer Service department.
  • Organize projects using the BEUMER Stage Gate model with planning, specifications, design, production, installation/commissioning and agreements to execute within the agreed time frame.
  • Proactive and effective communication with clients, stakeholders and the project team to ensure transparency, clarity and commitment throughout the project.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary project team throughout the project life cycle in coordination with other entities of the BEUMER Group.
  • Lead key project management processes such as scope/requirements management, supply chain management, change management, risk management, etc.
  • Being proactive, identifying and managing opportunities and risks on an ongoing basis with the appropriate level of project stakeholder engagement, manages potential backlogged charges and claims and creates essential documentation.
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of the project, in terms of quality/capacity, technically, deadlines and financial.
  • Develop and update the project schedule.
  • Create financial reports and control the project budget.
  • Technical clarification with the project engineering team and on-site support during installation, commissioning and acceptance testing.

Prepare reports, track project tasks, update monthly status reports

  • Coordination and preparation of meetings with clients, as well as for internal alignment/reports.
  • Track open items and accelerate critical project activities.
  • Keep project documents up to date and manage changes with the team.
  • Conduct site visits to hold progress meetings with the client and suppliers if necessary.

Requirements

Desired skills and knowledge

As a Project Manager within the BEUMER Group, we are looking for a person with the following experience and skills:

  • You have a degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or process engineering) or have an equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience.
  • You have several years of project management experience within mechanical or plant engineering, ideally coordinating works/construction management, and at least two years of international work experience.
  • You have in-depth knowledge in at least one technical area: mechanics, mechatronics, electrical engineering or control/automation technology.
  • Ideally, you have a PMP certification or equivalent qualification in project management.
  • You are proficient in SAP and project management/project planning tools (e.g. MS Project).
  • You work in a structured, independent and solution-oriented manner, and possess strong communication skills, assertiveness and a team-oriented mentality.
  • You have excellent presentation and negotiation skills, and a professional and confident attitude.
  • You have strong interface management skills to collaborate with internal departments and external partners.
  • You are willing to travel locally or internationally and have excellent knowledge of Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Driving license.
