Role Summary
Coordinate laboratory activities, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025, ABNT NBR ISO 14001 and ABNT NBR ISO 45001 with a focus on people management, customer relations and supplies. Critically evaluate results, meeting deadlines, maintaining organization, ensuring the safety of the entire team and the integrity of the company.
Responsibilities
- Manage people in the team: attraction, selection, development, monitoring, feedback, etc.;
- Promote job rotation in the area;
- Be technically responsible for accreditation and accreditation bodies;
- Ensure high quality results and full traceability;
- Validate analysis results in the Lims system;
- Plan and organize samples to ensure compliance with the TAT and optimize the use of resources (processes, materials, equipment and people);
- Manage and optimize processes;
- Coordinate the training of new employees in the area;
- Provide support in audits and laboratory visits;
- Provide technical support to customers, if necessary;
- Provide assistance to the supply chain in stock control and the purchasing process (reagents and consumables);
- Check and control documents (procedures, technicians, manuals and forms);
- Review and create new documents and comply with the standards and procedures of the Quality Management system;
- Ensure that the team follows ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025, ABNT NBR ISO 14001 and ABNT NBR ISO 45001;
- Check and monitor the calibration and maintenance (preventive and corrective) of equipment;
Approve purchase requests in the system and enter requests into the system, such as monitoring and approving the purchase of materials and inputs, ensuring quality and cost reduction and developing alternative suppliers, maintaining high quality results;
- Monitor participation in national and international proficiency tests;
- Define corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities;
- Support the definition of the budget for purchasing equipment and starting the acquisition processes (technical assessment and initial quote);
Carry out investment analysis, as well as propose purchases of equipment aimed at optimizing and improving laboratory productivity and consequently increasing profitability;
- Participate in workshops, conferences, etc., and disseminate the acquired knowledge to the team;
- Contact other Eurofins laboratories for technical support;
- Monitor and approve the development and improvement of processes and methods;
- Assist in the Research and Development of new analytical methods;
- Monitor the evolution of area performance indicators and manage action plans for improvement;
- Monitor laboratory visits and audits;
- Determine and ensure that the flow of laboratories in general, from sample entry to issuance and forwarding of results, is within company policies and represents reliability.
- Perform other related activities, as necessary, or at the discretion of your superior.
- Clinical Analysis Laboratory
- Release of results and ensure that the team has professionals capable of releasing results, according to demand;
- Assist Customer Relations with queries in analyzing medical requests;
- Inform Customer Relations about delays in results in advance and request new collections when necessary;
- Preparation of the work schedule for Saturdays and holidays;
- Ensure high quality results and full traceability;
- Ensure that the team follows PALC, LGPD and RDC standards;
- Request the necessary reagents and supplies from Stock to be used in the day's routine or the next day;
Perform other related activities, as necessary, or at the discretion of your superior.
Requirements
- Behavioral skills: See Eurofins Leadership Charter (see website or Corporate Principles)
- Required education: Specialization/Complete MBA or complete Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology or related courses.
- Languages and expected level: Advanced/fluent English + basic Spanish.
- Experience in areas related to Chemistry and Biology.
