Role Summary

Manage the operational areas of the laboratory. Monitor and approve the development and improvement of processes and methods, clarify technical doubts in general, study and propose the purchase of new equipment, as well as support commercial relationships. Act in accordance with the quality criteria ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025, ABNT NBR ISO 14001 and ABNT NBR ISO 45001, ensuring compliance with deadlines, employee safety, integrity of the company's assets and obtaining reliable results.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and approve the development and improvement of processes and methods;
  • Manage people in the area, through the distribution of activities, supervision, training, qualification and evaluation of the team;
  • Carry out investment analysis, as well as propose purchases of equipment aimed at optimizing and improving laboratory productivity and consequently increasing profitability;
  • Monitor and approve the purchase of materials and inputs, ensuring quality and cost reduction and developing alternative suppliers, maintaining high quality results;
  • Generate data and information support for presentation in future audits;
  • Determine and ensure that the flow of laboratories in general, from sample entry to issuance and forwarding of results, is within company policies and represents reliability;
  • Ensure high quality results;
  • Be technically responsible for accreditation and accreditation bodies;
  • Ensure that the team complies with the ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 standard;
  • Review and create new documents in the Quality Management system;
  • Develop procedures in accordance with the ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 standard, as well as ensuring compliance with them;
  • Clarify technical doubts from employees and customers;
  • Support the revalidation of methodologies (sample entry, registration in the Login area, homogenization, extraction and quantification);
  • Ensure that sample collection and distribution activities are carried out on time and without errors;
  • Monitor participation in proficiency tests (Inter laboratory), nationally and internationally;
  • Define corrective and preventive actions for unsatisfactory results in proficiency tests;
  • Support commercial relationships, supporting negotiations and customer relationships with technical information and making presentations to customers and prospects;
  • Coordinate the Research and Development area to define validation priorities, according to the analysis routine and commercial demand;
  • Monitor the evolution of area performance indicators and manage action plans for improvement;
  • Participate in fairs, congresses and technical seminars, aiming to follow new trends and scientific methods in the company's area of activity, as well as acting as a multiplier agent for the topics covered;
  • Monitor visits to the laboratory and participate in external and internal audits.
  • Perform other related activities, as necessary, or at the discretion of your superior.

Requirements

  • Required training: Specialization/Complete MBA or complete Master's degree in (Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics or Microbiology).
